New Version Of GeneSys Available

A new version of GeneSys is available from the following link : https://synoptics.support/share/software/GeneSys_1_8_0.zip

We have introduced some really nice changes, making GeneSys (we hope) even more flexible and user-friendly.

Version 1.8.0. contains the following major changes:

 

- Improvements of the "save as" functionality (tree view, more stable)

 

- Refactoring of the Chemi Series operation

 

- Binning introduction for

Support Coverage during COVID-19 UK Lockdown.

Based on Government advice, Support staff are limiting their exposure to possible COVID-19 infection vectors.

This means that phone support may be disrupted.  We recommend sending an email to the support@ address for the division in question.  We will attempt to get back to you as soon as we can.

Email and remote support are unaffected and will continue as normal.

Software Key Issuing Server Downtime

Due to some electrical work that is being done to our building, the Software Key Issuing Service (installations@*division*.com) will be unavailable from 1600 GMT on November 15th 2019, until 0800 GMT on 18th November 2019.

Emails requesting security keys will still be accepted during that time, but they will not be processed until the system is started back up again on Monday.

Emails sent to support@synbiosis.com receiving bounce back alerts

Due to a Domain issue, the Synbiosis Website was down and all emails addressed to an @synbiosis.com address were being rejected.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security interferes with F3 camera operation.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10/11 may cause camera connection issues with the Synoptics FlexCam models of camera that are used in the Syngene GBox F3, InGenius3 and UGenius3.

GeneSys will display the "connecting to camera" icon and stay that way indefinately.

Kaspersky has a "Block access to video capturing devices" function which can block these cameras.

To disable this function :

Open the Kaspersky Security Dialog by clicking on the "K" icon in
